I’m currently creating the sound installation Breathe, for “Arthur Ganson: Kinetic Mandala,” a showing of machine art by the Boston-based scupltor. A response to Ganson’s Machine with Breath, 1992, Breathe is live processing and composition of the sound of the work’s mechanical bellows, made audible via wireless headphones throughout the gallery. Programming will include a field trip to the artist’s studio, a lecture presentaton by Arthur Ganson, artist talks by Christina Campanella, Chehalis Hegner, and Mary ann Hoag, and a screening of the film “Machine with Wishbone” with director Randall Okita.
